Tom is a Registered Learning Disability Nurse and Registered Mental Health Nurse, he holds a Masters Degree in Behavioural Sciences, he has a recognised teaching qualification and is also registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Lecturer/Practice Educator.
Tom has over 40 years’ experience as a clinician, educator and manger in the NHS and independent healthcare sectors. During which time Tom has held a wide range of senior nursing, operational management and development roles.
His career has been focused on delivering Quality Frameworks that improve outcomes for individuals and communities.
He is an experienced writer and reviewer of policies and executive level reports; he is fully trained in Root Cause methodology and has taken part in several reviews, both as an individual investigator and as a panel member.
Tom is a published author with excellent written communication skills. He is an experienced presenter with the ability to communicate at all levels. Tom particularly enjoys engaging with people who use services and their families, experience has provided him with the ability to connect with people who are often seen as ‘difficult’ and ‘hard to reach’.
